There is some hiss on the early demos. Comments: This is a great collection of early studio recordings. Some of these recordings are from the actual studio source tapes for their early releases, in particular Tracks 1 and 2 are from the "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" single, Tracks 5-7 are from the "U2-3" EP, Tracks 3 and 10 are from the "Another Day" single. The 'War' demos are not radically different from their final versions, but the sound quality is excellent (I've been looking for these on CD for ages - this is the only pressing of them I've ever found.). Track 18 is live, not a demo. This is the original pressing on this label. |
