“My feeling is, that it is cool f or the people to share ourmusic - as long as no one is making money from the process. We tell the people who come to our concerts that they can tape the show if they want. I think, it is cool that people are so passionate about our music.”

Comments:

This is from a 1st gen or master DAT, remastered by Francesco Donadel.

This was U2's second night in Rotterdam/Europe of the PopMart tour. It was a very good show, they seemed more loose than the second show, and put on a more interesting performance (IMO) than night one. Bono did "Love Will Tear Us Apart" at the end of WOWY. Nothing else about this show should surprise you other than the energy and vocal ability of Bono, which varied throughout the tour.

The sound quality of both nights was identical. Rather flat, but extremely clear, with individual audience members 97% inaudible. Probably the lowest/unobstructed audience noise recording you'll hear, but the mix is not that great, seems to be missing a lot of the high end, and the remastering helped a little, but it seems that he couldn't really bring out the high end because it just isn't there. Despite the audience noise, I prefer something like "One Stop Shopping" or the tracks you'll hear from the pro soundboard recording of the Rotterdam show. There is a little light static that is on Justin Cook's original copy.
